It's the same thing in Gloucester. And she went on to say ... "in collaboration, galleries are much stronger.“ Again, very true. Here in downtown Gloucester we are reduced to a paltry five galleries.
I think running a gallery is a challenging business, Jane, and a real labor of love if you're not a power player. Foot traffic is down. People buy online. That erodes local ecosystems that support artists and galleries. More power to you for keeping the faith.
